LEAD's team comprises of 270 committed staff members. The field staff is usually selected from the local areas itself, as LEAD believes in developing local youth as agents of change in its areas of operation. After selection, they undergo a month's on-the-job training. During this period they are placed under the guidance of an experienced staff. The senior management level comprises of professionally qualified personnel.
The leaders of the 'Sangams' (SHGs) and federations have a significant role to play in the functioning of LEAD.
We would also like to share certain success stories of our staff - who though not very qualified, have acquired professional skills in carrying out micro finance programmes with the felicity of qualified bankers as they are committed development workers as well.
