Today
The slum areas people live in a very unhealthy environment. PDAP started its health program from February 1998. Since February 1998 there were 325 health education session and 375 Family planning session held. Out of 1490 patients 1632 adolescent girls received medicine and 446 children received medicine.
Program
The program activities include group formation, savings scheme, skill training, credit support, basic education and health services. In addition, there are activities for preventing environmental pollution and hazards of early marriage. In the prevention of environmental pollution the program is providing sanitary latrine, safe drinking water supply and educating the people on solid waste management. The program is also creating consciousness on AIDS and other STDs, sexual abuse, safe motherhood, better reproductive health and safe delivery. Organizing different sessions on different topics and group formation are the process of implementation of the program..
